Review the key concepts by answering the following questions.

  1. Referral systems
    2. A )  Are part of every screening tool
    B )  Might already exist in office practices
    C )  Will have to be changed once routine screening starts
    D )  Should be paper or electronic but not both
  2. Billing for validated screening
    3. A )  Is never reimbursed
    B )  Is consistent across states and insurers
    C )  Is an issue the American Academy of Pediatrics addresses
    D )  Is included within evaluation and management, rather than a separate service
  3. Four-year-olds identified with developmental concerns in need of evaluation and treatment
    4. A )  Have the right to be evaluated through the public school system
    B )  Should be assessed by Early Intervention since they are too young for school services
    C )  Must see a pediatric sub-specialist since no state or federally funded service sees this age group
